Hobbies and Clubs
Again, big thanks to the families who have been able to come in and support out Hobbies and Clubs programs last week. The students are certainly loving the different activities that are being provided and enjoy getting to know different families.
Annual General Meeting
This Thursday at 6:30PM at school will be our Annual General Meeting. This is an open meeting, and all members of the community are invited to attend this portion of our meeting. We will present the school Annual Report, a reflective document outlining our successes and areas to develop based on 2023. If you are keen to pop along, please feel free to join us.
NAPLAN 2024
Our Grade Three and Five students will undertake NAPLAN next week, beginning on Wednesday the 13th. A communication to families with students in Grades Three to Six will be sent out shortly.
Teacher Communication
We would like to thank all families for their ongoing communication regarding children at EPS. Staff love hearing all the positive stories and information that students provide and even more so, enjoying sharing in their lives outside of EPS. This is a great strength of our community and teacher relationships, and it holds the school in great stead to support the student of EPS. We continue to encourage all students to be ‘responsible reporters’ and access teachers as their first port of call. Staff are the primary point of contact for our families as well so please feel free to contact your child’s classroom teacher to discuss or share anything that can help us better support your child’s wellbeing or social and academic interests.
Before School Duty- Duty of Care
As many families are aware, all teachers unlock their classroom doors at 8:45AM to allow students to drop their bags off and head outside however classroom teachers do not have a ‘Duty of Care’ until 9:00AM when classes begin. If students arrive prior to 8:45, we will ask and remind them to remain outside and not come into the school through the front door. We are reminding and requesting that all students (once bags are dropped off) remain outside on the yard where a yard duty teacher is on duty from 8:45AM. We love having families in our classrooms to help and if families would like to come and support the classroom reading time, we would love to have you in during learning time at 9:00AM.
