Term 4 Week 7 2024


FROM THE PRINCIPAL - TERM 4, WEEK 7, 2024

2025 Classes

We are finalising classes for 2025 and more information regarding classes will be made available this week along with the announcement of staffing for 2025.

 

2025 Prep Transition

Our 2025 Prep Transition will take place next Tuesday and the subsequent Tuesday in the Prep/1/2 classroom. On these days, families and students will be able to meet the 2025 Foundation teacher and students will participate in a variety of activities on the day.

 

On The Deck and Working Bee- Friday the 29th

On Friday the 29th of November, Tan will be hosting a famous ‘On the Deck’ Performance. After this, there is a Working Bee to clean up the school. There are a variety of jobs that must be completed so please watch for this announcement to come in the following days.

 

Tennis- Mondays

For the next three weeks, Steve Storer will be coming out to EPS as the tennis instructor and working with all classes. Steve is a brilliant teacher and will have a great time developing students’ confidence, skills and abilities with tennis.

 

BioLab Excursion

The 5/6 students are off to BioLab on Monday the 2nd of December. A permission note via uEducateUs is available.

 

5/6 Somers Camp

On Tuesday the 3rd of December, we have five students heading off to Somers Camp for 9 days. We are very excited to hear back from them and look forward to them sharing their experiences with us all. Best wishes to these students.

 

Assembly Friday, December 6th

Lisa Chesters will be attending our assembly on Friday the 6th to present the school with some new books for our Library. This is also the Parents Club special lunch order day.

P/1/2 - Sarah.H - For showing determination and enthusiasm when learning about place value in Mathematics. 

3/4 - Izaak.W - For creating some descriptive sentences with kristy in writing and showing independence and responsibility in swimming.

2026 Curriculum Contributions and Voluntry Contributions can be pd via MSC.  Thankyou to those that have already paid.  These contributions help to go towards the cost of implementing the programs the students use every day.   
                           

HATS 

Hats are required in TERM 1 and can be purchased via MSC anytime.  We now also have a larger size hat that can be purchased through the MSC site.  
Hats and Beanies will still be required to buy through MY SCHOOL CONNECT until we have no stock on site then we will have hats and beanies available on the new EDUTHREADS uniform store.

Mango Fundraiser 2024 - PICK UP TIMES

MANGO PICKUP IS TUESDAY 19TH NOVEMBER (TOMORROW)

DRIVE THROUGH HOURS ARE...

9.15am TO 6pm



PICK UP TIMES...

THE MANGO'S ARE ARRIVING @ 8AM IF EVERYTHING GOES SMOOTHLY, SO FAMILIES MAY BE ABLE TO COLLECT THEM AT SCHOOL DROP OFF. YOU WILL JUST NEED TO PARK AND COLLECT FROM THE OLD SCHOOL BUILDING.  

OTHERWISE WE WILL OPEN THE DRIVE THROUGH AT 9.15AM TO 6PM

Working With Children Check


The Working with Children Check is a screening process for assessing or re-assessing people who work with or care for children in Victoria. 

At Eppalock PS we require any volunteers to have a current WWCC.

These checks are free for Volunteers.  PLEASE CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR WWCC IS CURRENT AND THAT WE HAVE A COPY OF IT HERE AT THE SCHOOL.  I HAVE JUST UPDATED OUR FILES AND WE HAVE A LOT THAT ARE NO LONGER CURRENT GOING BY OUR RECORDS.

Please remember that you cannot help out with any school activities unless you have a current WWCC

Playgroup will be held on Friday mornings at 9.30-11am in the Old School Building.
