EPS Newsletter Week 8 Term 1

FROM THE PRINCIPAL Term 1 Week 8

Parent Teacher Interviews

Parent Teacher interview are taking place on March 22nd from 12:30-6:30PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with your child’s classroom teacher and discuss how your child is going at school and the ways in which we can support families regarding your child’s wellbeing, social and academic progress. We would love to get feedback into any aspects of your child’s education and discuss positive supports that we can work on collaboratively. As this is the first meeting, we are encouraging families to attend without their child however we do understand if this is not possible.

Walk to School Day and Brekkie

On Friday the 31st, we are having a Walk to School Day. We will meet at the old shearing shed (Corner of Mannes Lane and Collins Ln) no later than 8.15am- Staff will be there at 8am.  It is roughly a 1.5 kilometre walk back to school. We would love families to attend this walk and come on the morning to share in this experience. We are also seeking a few extra car drivers (one at the front and the other at the rear) who can drive slowly with their hazards on. Once we get back to school, we are going to have breakfast here and we are also looking for volunteers to also help with the breakfast so if you can help please let us know.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will take place on March 30th, this meeting is open to the public where the Annual Report will be presented. If families would like to come along for this meeting, the AGM will begin at 6:30PM.

Special Lunch Order Day

Just a brief reminder that we have our special lunch order day happening this Thursday, the 23rd. Orders are due in by Monday night at the latest.

Potential Power Out- this Friday the 24th

We received information last week that there may be a power outage this Friday. The wording of the letter received suggests that it is not that likely however wanted to ensure that we notified families just in case we lose power for an extended time, we will call families to collect students.

School Wide Positive Behaviours Feedback

Thank you to the families who have provided feedback into our School Wide Positive Behaviour Matrix form. The feedback that we receive regarding the implementation of the framework is vital for us moving forward as we shape the future direction of our school. Please check your emails or uEducateUs communication to be able to access the anonymous Google form. It only takes a few minutes and is very simple to complete.

Reminders

  • Any changes to regular pick-up routines are best communicated via phone and speaking directly to a staff member so that it can be recorded in the after school pick up folder. We cannot always guarantee an email will be seen in time during the day.
  • Staff duty of care begins at 8:45am in the morning and finishes at 3:30. Please ensure that you have contacted the school if you are unable to make it to school by 3:30.
