Working Bee- Thank You

What a magnificent turnout and fantastic way to end the working week. We would like to thank all the students, staff, families and community members for coming out to the working bee and donating their time and efforts. The sense of community was overwhelmingly strong and no doubt, was a true depiction of a community-based school. The afternoon was shared with laughter, smiles and friendship and the end result is wonderful. The school is looking great so thanks to all who came along to help.

Prep Info Night

Tonight is the Prep information evening so if you are interested or know of a family who may be considering EPS for 2024, please encourage them to come along from 6PM.

Open Morning & Special Person

On Wednesday the 24th, we are having an Open Day as well as our ‘Special Person’ morning. We would love students to invite a special person in to show them our wonderful school as well as show some of the things they have been working on in class. This morning is also an Open Morning for 2024 Prep families as the Axe Creek Playgroup will be operating. If family members are able to pop in or help organise a ‘Special Person’ visit for the morning, that would be fantastic. On the day, we are asking for families who come along to bring a morning tea to share if possible. We are hoping to have a large morning tea together.

School Nurse

For all Prep families, just a reminder to please return all School Nurse info as soon as possible as the school nurse is in on Friday the 26th.

Covid and Flu Update

Firstly, if your child is sick or presenting flu-like symptoms, please keep them home from school. There have been a few enquiries as to what the process is if a child tests positive to Covid.

If your child tests positive to Covid,

  1. Parents/carers should complete the Student COVID-19 COVID Test Portal if a student tests positive to COVID-19 (via a PCR or rapid antigen test).
  2. Students who report a positive result are recommended to isolate for a minimum of 5 days and not attend school until their symptoms have resolved.

Report Writing Day- Friday, June 2nd

School Council have approved a Report Writing (Pupil Free Day) for Friday, June 2nd.

3/4 Camp- May 29th-31st

The Grade 3 & 4 students are off on the ¾ Camp to Bacchus Marsh in Week 6. The students will participate in a variety of fun activities, and we look forward to hearing about their time away when they return.

5/6 Soccer and Field Hockey

If your child is attending the soccer (June 7th) or field hockey (June 2nd), we must provide a referee or scorekeeper. Please contact Andrew King as soon as possible if you can do either of these jobs.
