Term 3 Week 10 2023

FROM THE PRINCIPAL Term 3 Week 10

2024 Staffing

Recently, Milly Burgess was offered an ongoing position at Specimen Hill Primary School which she has accepted. This means that she will not return to EPS in 2024. Moving into 2024, we will undergo the recruitment process for all three classrooms. We anticipate on advertising all three positions very early in Term Four.

We also would like to wish Kellie all the best as she finishes her final week at EPS for 2023. We wish you all the best with starting your new family.

In Term Four, Ben Ward will be working in the Prep-Two classroom while Kristy Fitzpatrick will move into the 2/3/4 classroom to support Chris McDermott as he steps into the teaching position.

Tree Planting Day

The weather held out just long enough for our tree planting day on Friday. We had a marvellous day working with all the students, families and friends and we very spoiled in terms of the location. It was great to work on such a beautiful and scenic property. We learned a lot of local information and had a tour of the river and surrounding area. A big thank you to all involved!

Geology Excursion

Our Grades Three to Sixes are off today on a geology excursion to finish off their unit of work. We look forward to seeing the photos and hearing about their day today.

State Field Hockey Finals

On Thursday, sour hockey team travelled to Footscray to compete at the state level. The day was filled with comradery and wonderful sportsmanship. Other teams coaches made specific to how wonderful the students were and their great sportsmanship, well done to all the students involved. Thanks to all the families who were involved in supporting the hockey team.

Wooden Circles

We are seeking any parents or family members who work with wood and can provide circular shaped wooden cut off that can be used to hang around the school. We are trying to enhance the natural play space look of the school and we were hoping to paint the circular shaped discs with the letters of the alphabet first and many other ideas. If you can donate any wooden discs (anywhere from 15-30 centimetres in diameter), please contact the school.

OSHC Program

We are in the process on waiting for the Department of Education to finalise the transfer process of OHSC providers. Unfortunately, this means that it is unable to operate until the transfer process is complete. Once we have received more information about the transfer process, it will be passed on immediately to the community. We apologise for the inconvenience this causes.
