Term 2 Week 7 2024

FROM THE PRINCIPAL - TERM 2, WEEK 7, 2024

EppaLock It In

We hosted our inaugural Eppalock It In Trivia afternoon here at school on the oval. The afternoon was perfect weather for trivia, although it did get chilly towards the end. We enjoyed some laughs and somewhat dubious questions and answers and the company of one another. Thanks to the families and students who popped out and made it a really fun afternoon.

Parent Teacher Interviews for Reports

Term Two reports are going home on Friday the 14th of June. This term we are having parent teacher interviews on the 19th of June in order to allow parents time to meet with classroom teachers to discuss their child’s academic progress. Interviews can be booked through UEducateUs from Monday the 3rd of June.

3-6 Hockey Tournament

Our Grade Three to Six students are heading off with Chris on Friday to the hockey tournament at the Bendigo Hockey Centre. We wish them all the best and look forward to hearing about the day once they return.

Covid, Colds and Flu

We are well and truly into that time of year when people are getting sick. We are experiencing an increase in reported Covid-19 cases throughout Victoria and our school community. Please keep your child home if they have any cold and flu like symptoms, even if your child is testing negative, they are required to stay at home until symptom free. If your child tests positive, please ensure they stay home for at least 5 days and they are no longer symptomatic. We appreciate your support as these steps will help us all stay well.

3-6 Urban Camp

Our 3-6s are heading off to Urban Camp next week for three days. We have an early start at the Bendigo train station on Wednesday morning and are looking forward to having a very busy but fun three days in Melbourne.

Working With Children Check

The Working with Children Check is a screening process for assessing or re-assessing people who work with or care for children in Victoria.

At Eppalock PS we require any volunteers to have a current WWCC.

These checks are free for Volunteers.
PLEASE CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR WWCC IS CURRENT AND THAT WE HAVE A COPY OF IT HERE AT THE SCHOOL.  I HAVE JUST UPDATED OUR FILES AND WE HAVE A LOT THAT ARE NO LONGER CURRENT GOING BY OUR RECORDS.

Please remember that you cannot help out with any school activities unless you have a current WWCC

Please follow this link to apply for a WWCC

Locally owned businesses are owned by your friends and neighbours who live in this community. Local businesses generally
  • make more local purchases
  • are more invested in our community’s future
  • create jobs in your town
  • donate more per sales dollar to local nonprofits, events, and teams

If you would like to have your business displayed here or would like to update your business details, please call or email the school
