FROM THE PRINCIPAL - TERM 4, WEEK 8, 2024

Parents Club- Mango Drive

I would like to acknowledge and the efforts of our magnificent Parents Club on yet another successful mango fundraiser for the school. We immensely appreciate the hard work and extra hours that this event takes to organise and coordinate and thank all the families for the hard work in this event. These events ensure that our students’ programs and activities can continue to go ahead and is an attestation to the family’s involvement and commitment to the student of EPS.

Nina Mazz- Long Service Leave

Nina Mazzarella is taking long service leave beginning next Monday for the remainder of the year, so her final day at EPS will be on Friday this week. I would like to thank Nina for her efforts and leadership in her time her at EPS. Nina has provided our 5/6 students with such a well-rounded and student-centred program and has played an integral part in staff development. Krista Pedley Smith, a very experienced teacher who has done some CRT work in the class, will take over for the remainder of the year.

2025 Prep Transition

Our 2025 Prep Transition will take place on Tuesday and the subsequent Tuesday in the Prep/1/2 classroom. On these days, families and students will be able to meet the 2025 Foundation teacher and students will participate in a variety of activities on the day.

On The Deck and Working Bee- This Friday

On Friday the 29th of November, Tan will be hosting a famous ‘On the Deck’ Performance. After this, there is a Working Bee to clean up the school. There are numerous jobs that have been sent out via uEducateUs. The sensory garden is getting a huge overall as we make way for two nest swings that will go in that spot next year. We need as many families as possible to come and help and if you are available, we would greatly appreciate family support in completing these jobs.

Tennis- Mondays

Today’s tennis lessons were cancelled due to the rain however Steve will come out and make up this lesson at some other point.

BioLab Excursion

The 5/6 students are off to BioLab on Monday the 2nd of December. A permission note via uEducateUs is available.

5/6 Somers Camp
