Term 4 Week 10 2024

FROM THE PRINCIPAL - TERM 4, WEEK 10, 2024

Community Night- Friday the 13th

Our end of year Community night will be Friday the 13th, kicking off at 6PM. Information has gone home via uEducateUs. Around 6:30, we will have our annual award presentation for the following:

  • Heathcote Community Grant awards
  • House shield winner
  • STEM Award
  • Living Green award
  • School Values
  • Excellence award

Afterwards, we will hand it over to our Parents Clubs for the final part of the evening.

This year, due to the gastro getting around, we have made the decision to not have a communal sharing of food and plates. While we recognise this is often a fun and great experience for all, we are postponing this aspect for this year only. Please bring along your own dinner and drinks.

We will have numerous bits of old furniture to give away, so if you are after a chair or two, please feel free to help yourselves. We will also have a table with second hand uniforms available to those who would like to re-stock their cupboards. As we are transitioning to an online supplier, we are aiming to donate the remainder of our old uniforms.

Old Tree Bell- New Tree Bell

With the work of our amazing School Council, input from our students and with some very talented parent and grandparent involvement, our new Bell Tree will be up and ready for Community Night. I would like to recognise and thank Tim Arnold and Kevin Reade for their extra efforts in getting this in in time for the night and for our graduating class of 2024!

Student Leadership Speeches

Our 2025 students leadership speeches will take place on Friday the 13th here at school. Just a reminder that this is for students and staff only.

Statewide Transition Day- Tuesday

Statewide Transition day is on this Tuesday in the 9-11 block. We are very excited to have all students in their 2025 classrooms with all our new teachers here on the day.

School Council

Our final meeting for School Council is this Tuesday. Next year, we are hoping to have some new families form part of our magnificent council. This is a wonderful opportunity to take part in our very active council and help shape the future direction of our school. If this is something that you are interested in, please speak to any councillor or Andrew.

2026 & 2027 Enrolments

If you have a child that will be due to start school in 2026 or 2027, please let me know so we can begin to plan for these years.

Locally owned businesses are owned by your friends and neighbours who live in this community. Local businesses generally
  • make more local purchases
  • are more invested in our community’s future
  • create jobs in your town
  • donate more per sales dollar to local nonprofits, events, and teams

If you would like to have your business displayed here or would like to update your business details, please call or email the school
