Term 4 Week 11 2024

FROM THE PRINCIPAL - TERM 4, WEEK 11, 2024

Happy Holidays

Thanks to all the students, families and community partners of EPS for a wonderful year this year. We have loved all that 2024 had to offer. Have a marvellous and well-deserved break and we look forward to having everyone back for 2025.

Final Assembly- Friday at 12:45

We are having our final assembly for 2024 this Friday at 12:45 beginning in the shared learning space. There are some PA card award to get through and other small items. From there, we would like all students and families to help form the arch to the Bell Tree where graduates will be presented with their own leaf which will be permanently mounted on the tree. We will have our early dismissal at 1:30PM. Students are able to wear casual clothes on the day.

Free Used School Uniforms- Edu threads Store is available

We have a table of used uniforms for free in the foyer. As we now have an online shop for our unforms, we are aiming to get rid of storing previously used uniforms. Please feel free to come in and take what you need.
Our new online store is ready to order from. If you would like to use all or part of your $400 SSB money towards school uniforms please contact Nikki in the office via email nicole.mannes2@education.vic.gov.au by Wednesday this week and let her know how much in uniforms vouchers you would like.

Term One, 2025 - Start Date

Next year, we have a Curriculum Day booked in for Wednesday the 29th of January. This means that students are not in on that day and their first day back will be Thursday the 30th.

Crazy Bingo- Friday, February 7th

We have our Crazy Bingo night here at school on Friday the 7th of February 2025. This is our first community event for the year so lock it into your calendar now. There will be more information available in the first week of the term.

Year 6 Graduation- Wednesday at the Foundry

Our Year Six Graduation is taking place this Wednesday at the Foundry, we look forward to celebrating this wonderful achievement with all Year Six students and their families.

Report home- Thursday

Semester Two reports are being sent home this Thursday afternoon.

Student Workbooks- Bags Needed

Please send a shopping bag to school with your child so we can send home all workbooks from school. We are aiming to have this done on Thursday this week.

Bus Role

Please contact the school if you need to update the method in which your child/ren travel home from school. If there are changes on the day, please make sure that you call the school to ensure that we have received the message.

2025 Curriculum Contributions

While the curriculum contributions are voluntary, they play a vital role in our schools’ ability to resource all aspects of our curriculum. Without this funding, we would not be able to source computers, library books, online learning platforms and STEM equipment for our students so a big thank you to all families who have already paid this for 2025.

Crazy Bingo Community Night 2025

It’s on again! Eppalock’s Annual Crazy Bingo Community Night.

FRIDAY 7th FEBRUARY 2024, 5:30pm for a 6:30pm start.

Its loads of fun for the whole family and a great way to meet new people in your community.

Bring along 2 small gifts per person who wishes to play (adults and younger siblings can get involved too).

The gifts can be as crazy as you like, inexpensive is best, wrap them up, newspaper is fine (eg ball, toilet roll, bubbles, key ring, zucchini, soup, can of beans etc or a small chocolate/lolly).

We play a huge outdoor game of bingo with a crazy twist.

Bring your own picnic tea, drinks and chairs.

See Jen Toose or Nikki in the office for more details.

Hope to see everyone there!
