Term 1 Week 3 2025

FROM THE PRINCIPAL - TERM 1, WEEK 3, 2024

Community Night

It was wonderful connecting with both the staff and the community about last Friday’s Crazy Bingo event. From what I heard, it was an enjoyable and lively evening, complete with some delightfully unexpected prizes. A big thank you to all the families who attended—we hope everyone left with a smile!

Start Up Interviews

We are having our start up interviews this Thursday the 13th of February. Interviews can be booked via the uEducateUs platform from Thursday the 6th. We are running interviews from 12PM-6PM on the Thursday so please ensure that you book a spot to have a chat with your child’s classroom teacher.

The day is a normal school day for students as Lydia, Tan and Megan Howes will be in the classrooms for the day.

School Council Positions

This year, there are five positions to be nominated on our wonderful School Council, all of which are parent positions. We would encourage family members who are interested to self-nominate when the forms are posted. Each member brings their own valuable life skills and knowledge to the role. However, councilors may need to develop skills and acquire knowledge in areas that are unfamiliar to them. It is important to have an interest in your child’s school and the desire to work in partnership with others to help shape the school’s future.

  • Monday 17th February 2025 - Notice of election and call for nominations
  • Monday 24th February 2025 - Closing date for nominations
  • Monday 3rd March 2025 - The date by which the list of candidates and nominators will be posted (if a vote is needed)
  • Tuesday 4th March 2025 - The date by which ballot papers will be prepared and distributed (if needed)
  • Monday 10th March 2025 - Close of ballot
  • Tuesday 11th March 2025 – Vote Count & Declaration of poll
  • Tuesday, March 18th March 2025 – AGM & First council meeting to elect office bearers (the Principal will preside)

If you are at all interested, please contact Andrew. Nomination forms can be found at the front office with Nikki.

Prep Student by Appointment Only- Wednesdays

Amy Ellis has emailed a schedule for Prep interviews and testing to occur over the coming couple of weeks. Please make sure that you arrive promptly for testing to begin. Families are welcome to stay on site in the Old School building while testing

At Eppalock PS we require any volunteers to have a current WWCC.

These checks are free for Volunteers.  PLEASE CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR WWCC IS CURRENT AND THAT WE HAVE A COPY OF IT HERE AT THE SCHOOL.  I HAVE JUST UPDATED OUR FILES AND WE HAVE A LOT THAT ARE NO LONGER CURRENT GOING BY OUR RECORDS.
