Start Up Interviews

Thanks to all the families who came to the Start-up interview night. After conversing with some families and staff, the feedback was extremely positive, and all expressed how important the information-sharing process was. Thanks to all involved.

NAPLAN

NAPLAN testing will begin on the 12th of March this year. Over the coming weeks, students will become familiar with the testing platform and features. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Andrew directly.

AFL Tipping Competition

We are running our annual footy tipping competition through the AFL tipping interface. Below is the competition code for all those interested in joining.

Comp Code: R57HVDKS

School Council Positions

This year, there are five positions to be nominated on our wonderful School Council, all of which are parent positions. We would encourage family members who are interested to self-nominate when the forms are posted. Each member brings their own valuable life skills and knowledge to the role. However, councilors may need to develop skills and acquire knowledge in areas that are unfamiliar to them. It is important to have an interest in your child’s school and the desire to work in partnership with others to help shape the school’s future.

  • Monday 17th February 2025 - Notice of election and call for nominations
  • Monday 24th February 2025 - Closing date for nominations
  • Monday 3rd March 2025 - The date by which the list of candidates and nominators will be posted (if a vote is needed)
  • Tuesday 4th March 2025 - The date by which ballot papers will be prepared and distributed (if needed)
  • Monday 10th March 2025 - Close of ballot
  • Tuesday 11th March 2025 – Vote Count & Declaration of poll
  • Tuesday, March 18th March 2025 – AGM & First council meeting to elect office bearers (the Principal will preside)

If you are at all interested, please contact Andrew. Nomination forms can be found at the front office with Nikki.

Kellie Gardner-role

Hi all,

Most of you know me, but for new families, my name is Kellie Gardner (or Mrs G). I have just returned from 15 months of MAT leave, and am undertaking a new role this year as a Mental Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion Leader. This is a new role for our school, funded and organised through DET and Melbourne University and so I will continue to do lots of learning and training throughout Term 1.

My role is to build staff capacity to identify and support student mental health and wellbeing needs, and ensuring that wellbeing is integrated into the curriculum. Please, if you have any concerns with mental health or wellbeing with your child, speak to their classroom teacher. My job is a referral basis, and so, teachers will seek support from me if needed.

Please pop your head in to the school and say hello on Tuesdays and Fridays if you haven’t already! It’s been fantastic to catch up with a lot of you, and get to know the new faces in the school too.

MARC Van

Sue Gentry returns this week as our fantastic MARC Van teacher. Sue will attend EPS every second Wednesday in the MARC Van. The MARC Van program runs similarly to a library program, where students can borrow texts and participate in a variety of Literacy activities. If you are in this Wednesday, please say hello to Sue.

Support our local businesses

Locally owned businesses are owned by your friends and neighbours who live in this community. Local businesses generally
  • make more local purchases
  • are more invested in our community’s future
  • create jobs in your town
  • donate more per sales dollar to local nonprofits, events, and teams

If you would like to have your business displayed here or would like to update your business details, please call or email the school
