Happy Holidays

Thanks to everyone for a wonderful Term One, the year has started off smoothly and every family has played a part in this. We hope you all have a wonderful break, enjoy some time with loved ones and come back to school rested and ready for school. If you are travelling, we wish you all safe travels.

On the Deck and Early Finish Friday

The community is invited to stick around afterwards as there will be a barbeque happening. This will be a great opportunity to unwind and mingle with other families before heading off on holidays.

Thanks Campbell

A shout out and thanks to Campbell Parker who came in over the weekend a did a lot of building jobs. Campbell replaced our bench top at the school's rear and built new cupboards in our staffroom. Thank you Campbell!

Foyer Paint colour

We are in the process of discussing some internal painting for our foyer near Nikki’s office. There are a few colour samples painted on the wall. We would love to hear from any families regarding the colour choices. Please have a look and cast your vote on the recording sheet underneath the painted area.

2025 Curriculum Contributions

Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian Curriculum, and we want to assure you that all contributions are voluntary. Nevertheless, the ongoing support of our families ensures that our school can offer the best possible education and support for our students. We want to thank you for all your support, whether that’s through fundraising or volunteering your time. As you know this continues to make a huge difference to our school, the programs we can offer and the experiences for our students.

This support has allowed us to provide a wider range of experiences and resources within our school, such as offering a wide range of subjects and special curriculum experiences, continuing to build upon our reading and library resources and expanding on our ICT resources.

We are aiming to have received all contributions from families by Friday, May 30th. This payment can be completed using the My School Connect platform.

TERM 1, WEEK 10, 2025 Parent Community News

On The Deck

Everyone is invited to partake in our End of Term Festivities on April 4th! Wellbeing

Hi All,

The kids are well and truly settled in and ready for an exciting final term for 2025!

In wellbeing, the classrooms are diving back into Respectful Relationships, and are focusing on Positive Coping, where students develop language around coping, critically reflect on their coping and strategies and extend their repertoire of positive coping strategies.

While we have moved on from Friendology this term, we will revisit some components throughout the term, and when the need arises. We encourage families to do the same! A great one to know and to talk about is Friendship Fires: those little disagreements that can be normal in a healthy friendship (even as adults!). Grades 2-6 have explored this, and use this language often to talk about conflicts that happen in the yard.

You can read a great blog post about it here:

https://urstrong.com/resource/friendship-fire-or-mean-on-purpose/

There is also a fantastic visual that explains some strategies for Friendship Fires and Mean on Purpose:

Until next time!
