Mother’s Day Brekkie and Eppalock It In
A magnificent turnout for our annual Mother’s Day Brekkie saw many mum’s come along and have a nice brekkie and cuppa with their loved ones. A big thanks to all the people behind the organisation of this and a special thanks to all the cooks who made this day possible. A beautiful morning to celebrate our wonderful families.
Eppalock It In
Thanks to all families who came out for the second Eppalock It In. Thanks to our very talented ‘trivia enthusiast’ Tan, who provided extra activities that brought many smiles and laughs to the evening. If you came along or have any feedback as to how to improve, please pass them on to Andrew or Tan.

Cakes, Slices and Treats- Voting
Thanks to all the families who were able to bake something for our cake stall. The stall was a success, raising just over $600 for the school.
Athletics with Axedale Primary School-
On Friday the 9th, we are headed to the Flora Hill Athletics track for our annual Athletics day. On the day, students can travel to the event via a bus (departing from EPS at 9AM) however we ask that families arrange for their child to be picked up from Flora Hill on the day. If being driven to the track please make sure you are there by 9.15am. The day should finish around 2:15PM. We have had three parent volunteers put their hand up to help on the day. However, if you care able to help out and give them a break so they can watch their child for some of the day, it would be appreciated.
Pie Warmer Wednesdays
Our pie warmer Wednesday is back in action. On Wednesdays, students can bring along a lunch that can be heated in our pie warmer. Please ensure that the food is wrapped in aluminium foil and clearly named.

Hi All,
The kids are well and truly settled in and ready for an exciting final term for 2025!
In wellbeing, the classrooms are diving back into Respectful Relationships, and are focusing on Positive Coping, where students develop language around coping, critically reflect on their coping and strategies and extend their repertoire of positive coping strategies.
While we have moved on from Friendology this term, we will revisit some components throughout the term, and when the need arises. We encourage families to do the same! A great one to know and to talk about is Friendship Fires: those little disagreements that can be normal in a healthy friendship (even as adults!). Grades 2-6 have explored this, and use this language often to talk about conflicts that happen in the yard.
You can read a great blog post about it here:

There is also a fantastic visual that explains some strategies for Friendship Fires and Mean on Purpose:

Until next time!
