2026 Open Day and Special Person Morning Tea- Friday the 23rd
A spectacular turnout with lots of laughter and smiles, thanks to everyone who made this day possible. It was great to have so many ‘special people’ on site for our combined Open Morning and morning tea. The feedback from everyone has been overwhelmingly positive. If you have any input as to how the day could be improved, please contact the school.
Somer’s Camp- Next Week
Next week, we have a Grade Five student heading away to Somer’s Camp for 9 days. We wish him all the best and look forward to hearing back from him about the camp.
5/6 Soccer with Axedale PS
On Wednesday the 11th of June, a group of 5/6 students are joining forces with Axedale Primary School to represent team Eppadale/Axelock in the division soccer tournament at Epsom. There will be a uEducateUs note created for this event, so watch out for that permission slip.
Report Writing Day- Friday the 6th of June
We will have a student-free day for teachers to complete reports on Friday the 6th of June. Monday the 9th is a public holiday, so please have a wonderful 4-day weekend.
Parent Teacher Interviews- Change of Format- Thursday the 3rd of July
We are having our Parent Teacher interviews on Thursday, the 3rd of July (last Thursday of Term Two). The format for the day will be different than last year's interview format. Parents will still book an interview time via uEducateUs. The major change is that families must bring their child to school in a full school uniform. Parents will attend the parent-teacher meeting and take their child home with them.
This means your child only attends school for the duration of the parent-teacher interview and goes home with you after the interview. In terms of interview times, the booking times will be from 9AM-4:30PM.
The booking system via uEducateUs will become active today at 5PM. If you are available during school hours, please book an interview during these hours. This will allow families who need a book outside of school hours the option to book them.
Gastro and Other Bugs
We have seen an increase in illnesses of all sorts. Please ensure that if your child presents with any cold or flu-like symptoms, they must stay home. If a child has gastro, they must stay home 48 hours from the last episode.

Hi All,
The kids are well and truly settled in and ready for an exciting final term for 2025!
In wellbeing, the classrooms are diving back into Respectful Relationships, and are focusing on Positive Coping, where students develop language around coping, critically reflect on their coping and strategies and extend their repertoire of positive coping strategies.
While we have moved on from Friendology this term, we will revisit some components throughout the term, and when the need arises. We encourage families to do the same! A great one to know and to talk about is Friendship Fires: those little disagreements that can be normal in a healthy friendship (even as adults!). Grades 2-6 have explored this, and use this language often to talk about conflicts that happen in the yard.
You can read a great blog post about it here:

There is also a fantastic visual that explains some strategies for Friendship Fires and Mean on Purpose:

Until next time!
