Start of Term and a big thank you
Welcome back to Term Three at EPS. We hope all families had a wonderful break and enjoyed the holidays. I would like to say a big thank you to the Eppalock Primary School community for such a warm and open welcome as your acting principal for Term 3. I’m truly excited for the term ahead.
On The Deck Reflection
An amazing last Friday of Term two saw many talents of EPS display their skills in another epic ‘On The Deck’ performance. Thanks to Tan for all your hard work in this space and well done to all those who performed (I was very impressed!)
Grade 3 to 6 Camp
Reminder that grade 3-6 camp is coming up in week 5 (20-22nd of August). We will be confirming camp numbers this week along with room allocation for students. If there have been any changes with your child’s attendance to camp, please let the office know asap. We can’t wait!!!
Permission notes
We kindly ask parents and carers to keep an eye out for permission notes coming home. There are lots of fun experiences planned, and we don’t want anyone to miss out!
Prep enrolments for 2026
A reminder that prep enrolments for 2026 are due on Friday the 25th of July. Don’t stress if you have not handed yours into the office yet, although as soon as possible would be great. If you know of any families wanting to enrol, please reach out.
? Mr Barri’s Weekly Riddle!
Each week, Mr Barri will be adding a riddle to the newsletter for you to solve! If you think you’ve cracked it, come and find him with your answer. … but be warned, Mr Barri can be a little bit tricky sometimes! Good luck, detectives! P.S. no googling!
I’m full of keys but can’t open any doors. What am I?

Hi All,
The kids are well and truly settled in and ready for an exciting final term for 2025!
In wellbeing, the classrooms are diving back into Respectful Relationships, and are focusing on Positive Coping, where students develop language around coping, critically reflect on their coping and strategies and extend their repertoire of positive coping strategies.
While we have moved on from Friendology this term, we will revisit some components throughout the term, and when the need arises. We encourage families to do the same! A great one to know and to talk about is Friendship Fires: those little disagreements that can be normal in a healthy friendship (even as adults!). Grades 2-6 have explored this, and use this language often to talk about conflicts that happen in the yard.
You can read a great blog post about it here:
https://urstrong.com/resource/friendship-fire-or-mean-on-purpose/
There is also a fantastic visual that explains some strategies for Friendship Fires and Mean on Purpose:

Until next time!
Kellie
