Term 4, Week 6, 2025

FROM THE PRINCIPAL - TERM 4, WEEK 6, 2025

P-2 Stayback

The P-2 Stayback was an enormous success with our students participating in circus skills with the Connected Circus, followed by pizza, chips and a frozen yogurt. Once the Prep students went home, the Grade One and Two students watched a movie and headed to bed. A huge shout out to both Amy Shelton and Jonty Hobbs for supporting our students overnight.

5/6 Cricket

On Friday, our Grade Five and Six students travelled to CMC for the annual inter school sport cricket event. All the students did a wonderful job representing EPS and highlighting our values throughout the day. The team performed very well, winning three out of the four games they played. Well done to all!

Family Survey

Below is a link and a QR code that is designated to seek parent input into three distinct aspects of school life at EPS. We would love to know about various aspects at our school, specifically volunteering, the physical school grounds and student reports. We are asking all families to complete the survey as this will help inform decision making and support the development of a plan to improve our grounds. The QR code is open for 7 days only.

Movember

This Movember, I am growing a moustache to raise awareness for men’s health. Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health, and this Movember I am joining them. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Help me stop men dying too young. Although my wife and children are not overly enthused by the new moustache, it is a wonderful opportunity to raise funds for a great cause. If you can donate, please use the QR code to donate to this cause.

Sound Story Showcase- Friday at 2:30PM

This Friday, Tan and the students will be performing a Sound Story Showcase. In Music, students have been exploring sound and using percussion instruments to emulate everyday sounds and have been creating short sound stories together. The P/1's and 2/3/4's are creating a whole class story and the 4/5/6's are working in groups to create their own stories in the style of an old radio show. If parents would like to come in to see this, please feel free to attend.

2026 Student Leadership Process

This Friday, students and staff will be meeting regarding the 2026 student leadership process. The timeline will be communicated to all students and will also be published in next week’s newsletter.

2026 Planning

We are in the process of planning for 2026 and hope to communicate what next year will look like very soon. In turn, we are asking families to provide any changes in student enrolment information to the school as soon as possible.
