Welcome Back Lydia
Lydia is back from her travels around Australia, welcome back to Lydia!
Payment Portal
Through consultation with School Council, we have made the decision to process payments for events and other activities through uEducateUs. At the moment, we are only using this for permission notes that require payments. The intended outcome is to provide a more streamlined process for families to give permission for events and make payments in the same interface. We are hoping this makes the process of payments and permission notes easier for our families. This system also allows our families to allocate whether you would like to use SSB or CSEF funding, alleviating the need to contact Nikki each time. Please read the supporting documents on uEducateUs to set up your payment portal as payment is processed through uEducateUs for Tree Planting Day.
2026 Book Week

Friday Reflection and Thanks
Last Friday was all hands-on deck here at school. We had students moving between various groups during the day, parents bringing in soup and getting a soup day ready for the kids and multiple families in supporting the upcoming production. There was painting, cutting, gluing, tracing and all the amazing things that are helping to bring the production to life. We also had families donate their time and efforts cooking delicious soups and donating bread for our students. It was a whirlwind!
EPS community and family willingness to support the students and our school in all the events is what makes our school truly special. I would like to pass on my sincerest thanks to everyone for their support on this day and all the other events that we ask for your help with, we couldn’t do it without you all.
HDFNL Clean Up
We are taking part in the HDFNL Clean Up again this year, this event is a great fundraiser for our school. This year, the money we receive will go towards the production. The HDFNL Clean Up will take place on Sunday, September 6th at the Huntly Football Grounds from 8-11AM. If you can come and help clean up the oval with us, we would appreciate it. There is a permission note on uEducateUs, this will be used to let us know if you and the family can help on the day.
Tree Planting Permission Note
A permission note was sent out last Friday for Tree Planting Day. Students will participate in School Tree Day by planting, guarding and watering a range of indigenous trees, shrubs and grasses to improve the habitat of the Axe Creek Catchment. Families are encouraged to come along and participate in the day. Please make sure that Nikki has a copy of your current Working with Children Check. Adults could please bring a mallet to help bang in stakes.
Firepit
The firepit area is currently undergoing some changes and this area has been taped off to keep our students safe. This area is currently being reviewed by School Council, Parents Club and the 150th Committee.
The Base & Cubby Update
Our old cubby is down at the front paddock and there is plan to re-stall the façade of the cubby in the back corner opposite the sandpit. The long-term vision the area in the back corner near the sandpit is to create some shop facades for students for developmental play, watch this space to see how it is progressing. The old fort has been re-stumped into the base area along with some other items, thank Kevin Reade for taking on this project.
GaGa Pit at EPS
This week, students from BSSC are coming with a transportable GaGa Pit. The BSSC students have been working on this as a project and will teach our students how to play the game.
Smile Squad at EPS
Smile Squad are here this week!
