MARC Van Book Parade
Well, the book week parade was certainly the big highlight of last week. It was a wonderful day and great to see such a great variety of favourite characters from books. The efforts by the students and families to get these organised must have taken some significant time and efforts, no doubt it made for a great event. Thanks to all the families and students for their support. A very special acknowledgement to Sue Gentry who organised all the activities throughout the day. It was such a well-done day and provided wonderful learning opportunities across the school.
OSHC Program
We are in the process on waiting for the Department of Education to finalise the transfer process of OHSC providers. Unfortunately, this means that it is unable to operate until the transfer process is complete. Once we have received more information about the transfer process, it will be passed on immediately to the community. We apologise for the inconvenience this causes.
Tree Planting day
On Friday the 8th of September we are having our Tree Planting Day. There will be more information provided in the very near future about this day.
Wooden Circles
We are seeking any parents or family members who work with wood and can provide circular shaped wooden cut off that can be used to hang around the school. We are tyring to enhance the natural play space look of the school and we were hoping to paint the circular shaped discs with the letters of the alphabet first and many other ideas. If you can donate any wooden discs (anywhere from 15-30 centimetres in diameter), please contact the school.
Parent Opinion Survey
We are still seeking feedback into the operations of EPS via the Parent Opinion Survey which was sent out via uEducateUs. This survey closes on Friday September 8th. We have only had about a quarter of all EPS families respond to the survey and we would love to get all families input into the school.
Curriculum Day- Student Portfolios
On Monday, September 4th, we are having a curriculum day and inviting students and families in for student led interviews and portfolios. Booking times are available via uEducateUs and they are beginning to fill up, so please jump in to book in a time to meet with your child and teacher to discuss their learning portfolio for this term.
