E.P.S SCHOOL ROCK BAND  -  “THE POSSUM TRAGICS“

This year our music teacher Tan has formed a school band called ‘The Possum Tragics’! The band practise weekly on Thursday mornings at 8am and perform at least once per term. Performances take place both at school and at venues and events outside of school.

The band is open to students in Grade 4-6. Instruments include vocals, keyboard, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, percussion and drums. Some of our members are Roadies/Mixers. They help set up the gear as well as mix the sound during performances.

Students involved develop more than just musical skills - for example; patience, teamwork, persistence, confidence, being comfortable with making mistakes and playing songs that may not be their favourite! A variety of songs are chosen to both keep it interesting and also develop appreciation for a range of styles/eras/artists.

The Tragics’ inaugural performance was on the last day of Term One at ” E.P.S on the Deck” and they did a brilliant job! We look forward to watching their progress and further performances during the course of 2025.
