Physical Education

At Eppalock Primary School, students are encouraged to develop their physical skills and fitness through our Sports and Physical Education Program.

All students participate in a 1 hour Physical Education session each week with a PE teacher (currently Mr McCartney) in which they enjoy ball skills, co-ordination and fitness activities and games.

Our House Captains and student leaders also have the opportunity to lead a one hour sport session with the whole school once a week for an hour.  This session has a focus on fun, cooperation and team work with our leaders also working on their communication and leadership skills.

We offer a swimming program (1 week at the beginning of the year and 1 week at the end of the year) at the Kangaroo Flat Indoor Pool.

As a school, we take part in the Regional Cross Country as well as participate in a range of the Bendigo Primary Schools sport team days.  Sometimes we join with other small schools to make a team so that we can enter.

Our school also makes use of the Sporting Schools funding grants and have used this in the past to participate in tennis and gymnastics sessions.
